Change to Laws of the Game - Season 2011/12

Just to keep you all abreast of changes to law this season: I have asked By Dave Horlick at the County Referees’ Department to reiterate the changes to you outlined below:

1.       Under garments ( eg cycling shorts) MUST be of the same colour as the shorts, failure to wear the identical colour as the shorts will result in the player being asked to leave the field of play and change or remove the offending garment, whilst the game continues. Match officials have been asked to enforce this law rigorously.

2.       At penalty kicks to decide a game (eg Cup Ties) once the ball has been kicked it MUST travel forward only to be a goal. So if the ball hits the crossbar, then hits the floor, and then spins backward off the floor OVER the goal line this is NOT A GOAL!. This ONLY applies to penalties that decide a match ( usually Cup ties) not penalties awarded during normal League games.

Training (01/09/2011)

Hi all, just to remind you training is at 7pm at Sandy Lane. Please bring subs.

Training will be at the north liverpool academy between 7 & 9 tomorrow evening. Can you please confirm attendance asap as we will be training/playing with other age groups and we need as near to a full team as poss. Pitches are on Heyworth St (con of St Domingo Rd)

Next week (22/08/2011)

We have training on Thursday at 7pm (Sandy Lane).

Afc under 16's are playing Accrington on wed night (6:30hrs) at Sandy lane. It’d be good if the under 14’s turned up and showed some support and as they will be playing Accrington u14s the following week they will appreciate the level of performance they'll need to produce.

Full pre-season training starts (21/08/2011)

Training at 11:00hrs tomorrow morning (21/08/2011) which will finish between 12:30/13:00hrs.

Please ensure the lads bring their subs. Thank you

Cancellation

Unfortunately the game this evening has been cancelled. 


Training on Sunday (11am) and Thursday at 7pm as norm. 


Apologies for the short notice cancellation.

The game tomorrow is against a team from the US called Chester Union and will be played at Liverpool Road, Skem, WN8 (B5312) KO 18:30hrs (player there for 18:00hrs).

Good performance after a slow start from the lads against a very good Wrexham team and with a little bit more self-belief and composure the coming season can really successful.
